They sell gorgeous sustainable, organic, ethical French underwear made from fibres derived from the recycling of white pine-tree pruning! They are passionate about the environment: their garments are designed and made in France and they use trains for transportation whenever possible.
Sustainability is high on their list of priorities, because they think that sustainable development depends on local development, employment and preserving local know-hows.

They choose local production instead of sweatshop labour to reduce the destruction of the planet.
Everything, I am assured, comes in reusable bags made of silk or recycled materials.
Apparently this amazing fibre offers the comfort of silk, the feel of cashmere, and the coolness of linen. That’s reassuring; I had images of picking out splinters from unmentionable places. It also

The fabric is biodegradable (let’s hope that doesn’t happen while you’re wearing them) and sounds the perfect answer to sexiness, style and ethics.
I’m not in the running for any new undies at the moment; but I will be very tempted to try these in the future. Perhaps for a special treat.

Isn’t this just viscose/rayon? Which has been around since the turn of the century… ?

Interesting question and I don’t know, to be honest. But perhaps we need to look further to see if this really is a new ‘wonder fabric’ or a reinvention of the wheel.
