World Fairtrade day

World Fairtrade day

What a great celebration! It’s World Fair Trade Day today.

By supporting FairTrade products we can make a difference to the lives of small producers, artisans and formers around the world.

World FairTrade day is celebrated in over 70 countries around the world and brings together people campaigning for change.

Fairtrade

Buying Fair Trade ensures that small producers get a fair deal, with good working conditions and fair prices under safe conditions, and allows for sustainable development and a promising future for millions of farmer and artisan communities around the world.

World Fair trade day is your opportunity to draw attention to your power to change your community and your world for the better through Fair Trade.

Global Events

You can find Fairtrade events taking place near you,  or why not set up your own? It could be anything from a coffee morning to a street party.

If you prefer something more low key, then why not commit to swapping one of your purchases for a fairtrade alternative? Or invite friends over for a meal made from fairly traded ingredients?

Fair trade products

Not so long ago, fairtrade was limited to teabags, the odd bar of chocolate and some dried fruit. Now there is a massive range of items from beauty to balloons from clothes to coffee and  flowers to furniture and their share of the market is growing larger all the time.

What will you do to support World Fair Trade day?
