solar-clip-light-by-everliteNew from Everlite is the EL9 solar clip light which is compact, powerful and doubles as a charger for personal electronic devises.

Here at Chez Green were big fans of gadgets and gizmos that reduce our need for stuff. That sounds a bit of a contradiction in terms! What I mean is multi function and multipurpose tools and gadgets that help us remain clutter and ’stuff’ free.

For outdoor adventures

This funky solar clip light attaches to a baseball hat or visor, weighs just 1.8 ounces, including the built-in solar panel and lithium battery and provides fourteen hours of continuous light on a full charge.  The light doubles as a portable solar charger, so you don’t have to depend on batteries or power outlets while on outdoor adventures.

Charge it up

You can do emergency charging of cell phones, iPods, MP3 players and other personal electronic devices using 12V or USB adapters which are sold separately.

You shall have music wherever you go!

According to Dale Jones, EverLite’s Co-founder; you can take your music and cell phones on adventures to remote areas and have solar energy available for an emergency charge if needed. In addition, the EL9 gives you hand-free light when needed. This is great for pitching a tent at night or any manner of things that requires two hands!

Convenient

The EL9 is great for all sorts of things - cleaning out the basement, searching for things in areas with insufficient light, safety during power cuts at home and let’s face it - it’s just plain fun. To top it all, it is water resistant! I know Mr Green would LOVE one of these. He has a love of torches and eco friendly gadgets, so what could be better than a solar powered light!?

I might have to put one on his Birthday list. The EL9 will be available soon for around  $24.99
