Reduce paper usage

A while ago we featured a story on Mandy Haggith who has been spreading the message about our paper consumption.

According to Mandy, each person in the UK gets through 1/4 ton paper per year, consisting of 120 toilet rolls, two bin bags full of junk mail and 1500 catalogues.

Natural remedies for flu

Swine flu is still hot news, with more casualties around the world.

Now we’re in autumn, our immune system needs even more support. A few weeks ago we shared our “Natural rememdies for flu prevention” and over on Eco Salon, they’ve shared their “5 natural ways to fight the flu” It includes some interesting information about keeping washing cloths and sponges clean.

Electric cars in Brighton

Plans to install 20 roadside charging stations in Brighton over the coming year means the city is set to become the UK’s most electric vehicle-friendly city outside London.

Elektromotive, the Brighton-based developer and manufacturer of the Elektrobay charging station, will install an initial 10 bays in the city by the end of 2009, with a further 10 planned for installation early next year.
