toby-carvery-free-seedsToby Carvery are on a mission to get Britain top of the veggie-tables.

According to their research, almost 70% of people don’t get their 5-a-day portions of fruit and vegetables.

If you sign up for their healthy green scheme, you’ll get a free packet of seeds to help you grow your own and reach your five a day quota.

Grow your own

Once you’re signed up, you’ll be able to tend to your seeds and harvest your own crop which means you’ll be going outdoors every day and getting some exercise. In addition, you’ll save money and have the option to grow organically.

It’s a win-win!

There are some great pages on their site which can be used as part of your home eduction resources.

Free tips and recipes

Learn some facts on their ‘weird and wonderful veggie facts‘  page such as why onions make you cry, and find out whether carrots really do help you see in the dark!

In addition you’ll find top tips for green fingered kids and a small recipes section.

I’ve no idea what type of seeds you get, so I’ll be sure to let you know!

What about you? How is your garden growing this year?
