I hope you will all be feeling better soon, Melissa.

The critter hunt sounds wonderful - Little Miss Green spent an afternoon this week in a pair of wellies in our stream. She loved it!

Enjoy the trip!

Mrs. Green: Weather and health permitting (we all have colds here), next weekend I'm taking a bucket, net and rubber boots and taking my oldest son out to look for bugs/critters in the creek. We'll try to get a bug ID book from the library beforehand.
I try to get my son out everyday but admit some days are more difficult than others. But kids need to get out, if only to burn off energy. And you're right, my most memorable parts of childhood were outside with friends exploring without parents watching over our shoulders. It's scary to think of what they'll face out there, but they need to know how great and beautiful outside can be.
Thanks for inspiring me to set up a field trip for me son! :)
