Kite kids organic clothes

A while ago I entered a competition on the Janey Lee Grace Imperfectly Natural site and we won!
It was a present for Little Miss Green (although I rather wished they were for big kids too) - an organic t-shirt from Kite Kids.
I first heard about Kite Kids over on one of my favourite ‘green parenting’ sites, the Green Familia when I was lamenting that many ‘eco’ brands of children’s wear seems to go up to age 6. I don’t know what they think you’re supposed to do after that.
Having the decision making ability I do, Little Miss green agonised over her decision for a few days, before opting for a turquoise “Trees and birds” t-shirt. As a nature lover, this seemed the perfect choice.
Kite kids have created a range of planet friendly clothing for children aged 2-11 years. You’ll find tops, t-shirts, hoodies, skirts, dresses, trousers and shorts to suit all boys and girls.
Made from certified organic cotton, bamboo or 40% recycled polyester, their clothes are produced without using any harmful chemicals
They’re based in Poole in Dorset so their range has been inspired by their love of the outdoors - big skies, fantastic beaches and beautiful nature.
The t-shirt is beautiful and what I would expect from organic cotton; it’s thick, wonderfully soft and the design is lovely. A big thumbs up to Kite Kids and thank you to Janey for organising the competition!

This is a great little article because it’s key to become aware of the fabrics used to make certain products. We all need to become more creative in recycling household produsct, etc.. so I thought I’d just mention this creative way to reuse dryer sheets. Not my idea, but I thought it was cool, if anyone’s interested: http://www.fourgreensteps.com/community/blogs/45/1713
Cheers!
