Why not take your own mug to work or favourite coffee take out and save on disposable cups?
According to the EPA, 25 billion polystyrene (Styrofoam) cups are thrown away every year. They can be recycled, but facilities in most places are limited; so into the landfill they go for a few hundred years.

Great tip. I always try to have reusable cups with me and avoid Styrofoam whenever possible. It would be great if companies provided reusable cups for people to use. It would probably save them money in the long run.
@Chrystal @ Happy Mothering: Styrofoam is horrible stuff - used for a few seconds and stays in the environment for decades. I like the idea of companies using reusable cups; that always used to be the case!
