Don’t waste your beetroot tops!

beetrootDid you know that beetroot leaves can be eaten like spinach?

What a waste to throw those leaves away!

Next time you harvest or buy beetroot with the leaves on, be sure to eat the tasty tops too. If you pick them when small, you can eat them raw in salads. If they are larger, then shred finely and cook like spinach - they are delicious when wilted and topped with some butter (or olive oil) and nutmeg.

Not only that, but beetroot is a superfood that might be helpful in treating cancer and anemia. Read more about it here
