Save water today by reusing where possible

conserve water by reusingBefore you pour any water down the drain, ask yourself if you can reuse it. Could you pour it onto a plant, flush the toilet with it or clean some patio furniture with it?

Sunday lunch looks like this in our house: Water is used to par boil potatoes. When they are done, that water is tipped into the steamer for steaming the vegetables. Finally the water from the steamer is used to make gravy! It saves water AND fuel because I don’t have to keep heating up cold water.
