@Travis: Do you have a transition town near you? I was speaking to a rep from ours the other day and I’m very tempted to go along to the next meeting. We’ve just installed our first solar panel; just to run some lighting; it’s very exciting and we’ll be writing about it soon.
Do you have a favourite solar / wind up gadget? I’ve been trialling a solar freeloader and will be doing a review on it at some point.

I love using solar (or wind for that matter) powered stuff. It REALLY gets under my skin when people act wasteful. I think the sooner we (all humans) can get off our petroleum addiction and onto more renewable sources, the healthier we’ll be.
