Saving the world at work - six tips for a green office!

Greening the office; one step at a timeAre you working in an office environment surrounded by a group of non-green colleagues?

Don’t worry, there are still some things you can do to keep your own eco conscience happy. Here are a few suggestions; leave yours in the comments below!
1- Pack a zero waste lunch box. Instead of cling film wrapped sandwiches and individually wrapped products pack fruit that comes in its own packaging such as apples, oranges and bananas, use an airtight container, such as a laptop lunch box for sandwiches and decant a large pot of yogurt into smaller containers.

2- Print on both sides of the paper, if at all. Only save printing for the essentials, save the rest to disc and read it on your screen.

3- Power down your PC at lunchtime and when you leave the office.

4- Take in your own mug and say no to plastic cups.

5- Take your own fair trade tea and coffee so you can enjoy a cuppa with a clear conscience.

6- Start a carpool. It makes no sense for millions of people across the country to be driving empty cars to work. It’s more sociable too! Better still, walk or cycle all or part of your journey each day to reduce carbon emissions.
