sustrans for green travel with their change the world campaignEvery year Sustrans invite us to swap one car journey - so that we can enjoy healthier journeys, cleaner air and quieter streets - with their Change Your World campaign.

Sustrans is the charity behind the award-winning National Cycle Network, TravelSmart, Bike It, Safe Routes to Schools, Connect2 and other great initiatives which help people to walk, cycle or take public transport more.

Green travel

Their vision is a world in which people choose to travel in ways that benefit their health and the environment.

Take the pledge to swap one car trip between 29 June - 4 July 09 and walk, cycle, use public transport or car-share instead and you’ll be entered into a prize draw to win some great prizes.

Change Your World

According to Sustrans, nearly one in four car journeys are less than two miles. If we all swap just one journey through Change your World week, car traffic would reduce by 10%.

If you’re into computer games, Ele Jumper is taking part in Change your World week by trying to get to work under his own steam. Can you help him beat the rush hour traffic below? So far I’ve only managed 1.64 miles; I don’t think he’ll get very far on that!
