Thank you MrsG and you've hit it RIGHT on the head there! We 'have' to take the encouraging route to effect long term change....and it does absolutely no good being persecutory...and it's just, plain depressing too!!!

As for spreading the word, I'd just say if any of your readers feel the same about the 'Week', maybe they could drop a note into their blog or newsletter - the stronger the energy, the more chance we have of making folks take those crucial first steps towards a simpler, happier life.

xxxx many thanks xxxx

Hi Tracey,
That is what I like - the sense of optimism and positivity. It's easy to go down the doom and gloom route, but how much more fun to inject some joy into everything!

I'm sure that positive energy helps to get things moving quicker and more effortlessly ;)

Please do let me know if there is anything else I can do to help you spread the word...........

Hi again Leslie - there is always a cup of herbal tea to be had a Chez Green - you're welcome anytime :)

I'm so glad you decided to Freecycle, I was kind of hoping you would. As you said, these products had already been made, so it's better to use them. I feel the same way about second hand clothes for my daughter. I would never buy new from places like Tescos, but I will buy them in a charity shop or gratefully accept them as a hand me down or gift. The 'damage' has already been done and I feel its better to use them until the end of their useful life.
Keep up the great blogging; there is some great information on there :)

Thanks for the warm welcome! Even though I haven't done so yet, I decided to freecycle them; I can't just dump them when someone will either use what I have or buy more.

Tracey - what an honour to have you visit my blog. You really are an source of great inspiration to many; proven by the fact that your campaign has gained International awareness - I hope you feel proud of yourself and thank you for stopping by to comment. I feel all star struck :D

I'm glad it is of interest to you, Melissa. I really feel that more and more people are seeking meaning in their lives and realising that the simple things can bring such enjoyment into every day living. Let us know what changes you decide to make :)

Hi Leslie - welcome! It's great to see a new face here. Thank you for your lovely comment. I've just taken a peek at your blog; you have some very thought provoking posts on there. It sounds like your decluttering is going really well. What did you decide about your chemical conundrum?

Love to all,
Mrs G x

What a wonderful post! It both reflected a lot of what I already feel, and pushed at many different corners to help me easily see where I could do more. Thank you!

Hi - what an overwhelming compliment for my work and the campaign!

A massive thank you.

I am sure your poignant posting will help readers pull back from consumer-driven solutions and make them consider heartfelt, family-led options, that involve giving the precious gift of 'time' instead.

Sending you every good wish for your continued journey towards a simpler, happier life.
