@Layla: well apart from the bamboo pads, I've not tried anything either. The soybean fabric intrigues me and I still know nothing about it. You're right though, the way they soften fabrics needs to be investigated further....

I've been wondering what these would feel like!! :)

Haven't worn any, didn't know fabric can even be made from soybeans!! (I wonder if they are GMO-free, toxic-free soybeans though, and how it's made?)

Have been sceptical of bamboo since I first found out about it (it was in some mostly-non-eco catalogues with so many excellent adjectives that it immediately made me suspicious!)

I have had better thoughts about hemp, since it needs no toxics to grow.. Still not sure what kind of chemicals they treat it with to make it soft, and if they are iffy or okay? As far as I know, conventional hemp products were well, not soft! :)

Hi Allie,

Good to see you and thanks for sharing your experience of bamboo. Oh well then, it looks like I'll just have to treat myself to that dress :D

Love your site - I'm going to add a link to you in a moment.

Thanks for dropping by,

Mrs G x

That dress is adorable.

My favorite shirt is bamboo. It's so soft and wears well. It doesn't stretch out with washing (and I haven't noticed shrinking either). And it even controls odor.

It makes me wonder why cotton is still so popular. Bamboo is so much better.
