hemp fabric the eco choice for material
I’m delighted to have found this company. Hemp fabric, set up by Samantha Pickering, has been around for 2 years.

Samantha is full time mum to 4 children and was introduced to the wonders of hemp when she ran a cloth nappies business. She took over the hemp fabric business in February 2006 and stocks a great range of fabrics such as bamboo, organic cotton, soy and of course hemp.

So that you can see before you buy, you can order a swatch pack; the cost of which will be refunded with your first order.

Samantha runs her business in an ethical way: imports travel by sea or road to avoid air travel, she uses re-used packaging and supports her local post office.

In addition, Samantha is in the process of applying for funding to try and develop the growth and production of hemp within Devon. Apparently, hemp grows well in the UK!

I think this is a wonderful company, well worth supporting. Samantha even runs a forum for discussions with others called the Hemp Fabric Forum.
