They were good! Fresh potatoes are so much better. The few that we grew were incredible. We used some of the CSA red potoates that had sprouted. When we harvested, we cooked them immediately in salted water. They came out buttery and creamy smooth. Looking forward to a bigger, better crop!

Hi Hamster :)
I love that you've had these same thoughts; and as I browse the internet I'm finding other people too thinking along the same lines. Isn't that wonderful! I hope you get to grow lots of containers full of yummy potatoes.

Chile, how were the potatoes from your CSA? Let's hope you get a great crop this year - we live and learn :)

We got our first potatoes of the year yesterday from the CSA. I can't wait to eat them tonight!

Our potato-growing attempts didn't go so well for us, but we did it over the winter. We're hoping for better yields from the ones going now.

Great post. I had exactly the same thought this week and am now looking for as many suitable receptacles as I can find to grow potatoes in my suburban container garden. Dig on for victory!
