This week I announced that I was joining in with a Buy Nothing New challenge for a month! November can be a bit of a dodgy time for this because I like to get my Christmas preparation done early.
But now I’ve come across something that might help me over at Present Sense. The ladies over on Present Sense want us to lose the notion that gifts have to be new and promote the idea that the THOUGHT is what gives the gift value, not the price tag.
The idea of present sense is that we start embracing the idea of giving ‘sustainable gifts’ either recycled (as in second hand) or home made gifts. So scouring eBay, getting gifts on Freecycle and making stuff can all become cool!
