Learn to make your own green shoes

I’ve always been rather covetous of Green Shoes. These ethical, sustainable beauties are hand made to order in the UK. You actually draw around your own feet and send the drawing in with your order, so you know these will be the most comfortable shoes you have ever worn!

In today’s society of throw away fashion, Green shoes encourage you to resole and repair any shoes that you buy from them so that they last a lifetime.

They keep waste and packaging to a minimum, have low workshop energy requirements, source as much of their materials from the UK as possible and provide jobs for local people.

Now you have the opportunity to go self sufficient and make your own shoes with their popular one day workshops. There is one on Saturday 20th September & another on Saturday 11th October. Both run from 10am to 5.00pm and take place in Buckfastleigh, Devon.

The one day course is suitable for complete beginners and gives you all the support, tuition and materials you need to make your own pair of shoes, simple bag or stylish belt. Materials for decorating them will be provided, you can also bring your own favourite fabric, beads or ribbons to use too! This gives you the opportunity to own a unique pair of eco friendly and natural shoes.
