Go Green with St.Patricks day

On St.Patrick’s Day, we celebrate the life of the patron Saint of Ireland
Ireland is home to beautiful landscapes and open spaces. St Patrick is associated with the colour green. What better way to honour this day by taking one step more along your eco friendly journey?
What could you do today to make a difference to the world?
It needn’t be complicated. Perhaps there is something you’ve been ‘meaning to do’ and today could be the day to commit to it:
1- Start your compost heap. If you are without a garden, then why not look at a wormery or a bokashi bin?
2- Get some seeds and do some planting. Grow in pots if you are limited for space. Herbs in a windowsill or sprouted seeds are fantastic if you have no garden at all.
3- Make a morsbag and take it with you when you go shopping. If you’re not the sewing type, then why not invest in an Onya Bag.
4- Make an eco friendly household cleaner and use it. Just a simple white vinegar and water spray will do.
5- Join your local Freecycle group and help keep things out of the landfill
6- Cook a meal from scratch today. Celebratory meals for St.Patrick’s day might include bubble and squeak or a hearty potato soup with soda bread.
