Happiness month day 22 – trivia

raesmallThe lovely Nadine left a comment on my blog the other day and I followed a link back to her new website, Last Known Nest. On it I saw a ‘trivia’ post which I thought I’d borrow and share on here.

Being a Gemini I love a bit of superficial trivia, so, if you’re interested here are 39 questions about yours truly; which is rather lovely as it’s one for each year of my life.

I’m sharing this as my happiness post because I’m happy that Nadine popped over and left me some comment love; she’s a woman I feel a deep connection with although I’ve no idea why.

# 1: So, why the user-name?
Green by name, green by nature and I love that people think it’s my real surname – that tickles me every time a journalist asks for me!

#2. Give us one word to describe you.
Seeking

#3.Chose one Desert Island Disc:
The Orbs Adventures beyond the Ultraworld – it’s 20 years old and every time I hear it, it transports me

#4. Chose one Desert Island Book:
The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Depak Chopra. Although if I were on a Desert Island, perhaps I would no longer need it

#5.Chose one Desert Island Film:
August Rush. Just beautiful

# 6. What floats your boat?
Harmony, love, nature, generosity, gratitude and reverence

#7. Tell us something no one knows about you:
I don’t think I’ll play this one

#8. What’s your idea of a dream date?
On a beach at the beginning of autumn, next to a campfire, wrapped in a feather duvet and a strong pair of arms, watching the sun go down over the horizon with a couple of cats and dogs sitting at my feet

#9. Do you believe in love at first sight?
Absolutely; I’m an incurable romantic

#10. Which characteristic could you not live without in your life partner: sexiness, intelligence, or financial stability?
I’m picking two – Intelligence and sexiness. Call me shallow for the sexiness part but it’s true…

11. Where did you grow up?
In the suburbs of Gloucester, England – I couldn’t wait to move out into the country.

12. Where do you live now and why?
in my dream rural village in England. I love it here, it feels like home. We’re nestled in a valley surrounded by forest, a stream and hills.

#13. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A nurse so I could look at men’s willies

#14. When you were a child, who was your hero?
Simon Le Bon; well, not so much a hero as a crush

#15.How would your friends describe you?
Recently on Facebook I was described as Loveable and Huggable – I liked that.

#17. Have you ever met a celeb? What did you say?
I have met an A-list actor but I am not allowed to say who just yet because we’ve made a documentary which is not yet released (and of course, may never be). We talked about rubbish, recycling, sustainability and the joys of naked cucumbers.

#18. What’s your all-time favorite football ground?
I cannot bear anything to do with football, so I’ll say my local rec ground which does just happen to have a football pitch marked out on it.

#19. What’s your favourite outdoor activity?
Lying on the trampoline in the sunshine, preferably with a cat purring on my chest

#20. What capital cities have you visited? Which was your favorite?
The only capital city I’ve visited is London and it probably is not my favourite.

#21. What is your favorite city?
I’m not a city gal, so I’ll go for Sex and the City

#22. Who has been the biggest influence in your life?
MySelf

#23. What do people notice most about you when they first meet you?
Probably nothing because I keep myself to myself and am extremely aloof and shy

#24. When was the last time you lost your temper and why?
I lose my temper nearly every day over one thing or another; I’m incredibly firey (but never smoulder)

#25. When’s the last time you cried and why?
Yesterday when I ya know, with my husband …

#26. Are you the star of the show or more behind the scenes?
Naturally I prefer to be behind the scenes fussing around people and making sure they’re ok, but I turn on the star if I need to

#27. Do you screen your calls or answer after the first ring?
Screen, I’m a private person

#28. What do you do when you’re bored silly?
I never get bored; I’m a Gemini for goodness sake, so have lots to occupy myself with

#29. Which of your five senses would you LEAST want to lose?
I wouldn’t be prepared to lose any of them because I’m kinesthetic and sensual so I relish and appreciate every one of them

#30. When you’re lost, do you ask for directions?
I do. I’m crap at finding my way around, terrible at map reading, can’t use a compass and have no sense of direction so I’m not too proud to ask

#31 Have you ever participated in a protest?
No, I don’t like confrontation

#32. Who would play you in the movie of your life?
I have no idea, perhaps Scarlett Johansson just because I’d like people to think I was as gorgeous as her

#33. If you are a cat, which life are you working on now?
I’m still on my first, a mere kitten

#34. If you could invite a famous person to dinner, who would it be?
Jesus

#35. If you could bring someone back from the dead, who would it be?
I wouldn’t impose such a thing because I believe in life after death, so I’d be killing them in their present life to bring them back from the dead of their previous life which would my karma no good whatsoever

#36. If you had your own music festival, what five bands or musicians would play?
Enigma, The Orb, Kate bush, Madonna and Afterlife

#38. If you could live anywhere, where would you live?
I’m already livin’ the dream baby; although I’d like to buy the two next door houses so I could excavate a lake, have an orchard and a small holding (sorry neighbours)

#39. If you could go back in time, which era would you choose? What would you most like to do?
I’d be a priestess in Avalon and ensure peace reigns throughout the kingdom

Please go ahead and answer these questions on your own blog then come and tell me when you have; I’d love to learn more about you!

oh, what a lovely morning! hello Avalon, every time mrs Green writes, i sense the deeper connection which strengthens this societal ecosystem…
this is cause for integral happiness: to learn to know more about each other, about the many ways we are connected to this planet, by sight and sound, by sense and yes, sensibility.
today my little world is more complete for sharing ideals with a most dedicated writer who lights the path to harmonious living.

sounds romantic? why not? today, through rain and thunder, i see England and the Green family reaching out with smiles and practical hints across a needful world. yes, i’m happy!

Your comment about London made me laugh – the only capital city you’ve been to, but not even your favourite in that group of one!

@Rachel: Well I know, I’m a bit of a miserable cow when plonked in London so rarely visit. I need SPACE not people 😉
