I’ve been tagged!

stylish-blogger-awardThe lovely lucy over at Dreaming Aloud awarded me ‘Stylish Blogger’.

Thank you Lucy! She wrote a lovely piece about our site and how it had inspired a redesign of her husband’s company website – wow! How honoured am I!?

In order to keep the circle of love turning I have to do the following:

Thank and link back to the person who gave you this award
Share 7 things about yourself
Award 10-15 blogs you feel deserve this award
Contact the bloggers and let them know about their award

Ok, here goes, 7 things about me:

My eyes don’t work together so I was told as a kid I could lead a normal life except I would never be allowed to be a formula 1 racing driver or a pilot. Never mind, eh?

My mother was once offered 1000 camels in exchange for my hand in marriage (fortunately she declined).

I can’t touch anything dry, such as a microfiber cloth without licking my fingers first <shudder>.

Like Lucy, I used to drive past a house I knew I would one day live in. I spent a happy year in that house!

Mr Green and I lived three doors away from one another for 3 years before finally moving in together.

Two people have named their baby girls after me.

I remember at least three of my dreams every morning.

Now I hate choosing people because ya know, I want to award this to EVERYONE. Everyone deserves to be recognised for all the time, love and energy they pour into their blogs. But with my arm twisted behind my back I shall settle on 5 wonderful people who inspire and motivate me:

Jennifer over at It’s not easy to be green. This lady makes me think, smile and ponder and I love her for that (we also happen to be scarily similar in our views on life).

Reduce Footprints is such an inspiration to me. She is so altruistic, supportive and gently motivating and her energy to share her message is incredible.

Argentum Vulgaris at Eco Crap. He’s witty, thought provoking, goes where no green man has gone before and if the ‘follow me’ photo on his side bar is anything to go by, has a great arse.

Mom Grooves. I just love the look and feel of her site. It’s so happy and uplifting and her posts are infused with the gentle qualities of her soul.

Sherry over at One Earth to Live, brings compassion and a lot of thought to her writing and I love that she inspired me with her ‘one light’ rule.

So that’s it, 5 wonderful bloggers for you to check out. And folks, if you don’t want to pass the award on or take part, please don’t feel obliged; I know this sort of thing isn’t for every one 😉

Oh my goodness … what a nice thing to say! You totally made my day, Mrs. Green … and now I’m blushing! 🙂

Wow … 1000 camels for your hand in marriage. Well … the prospective in-laws just knew what we know … you are a jewel! Glad that your mom didn’t agree … you and Mr. Green just seem to be the perfect match! 🙂

Thank you, again, Mrs. Green! 🙂

Well deserved too. Your blog is beautifully laid out and full of so much to read. I wish I had more time to really explore it… one day!!!

I’m actually blushing a little at your kind words, too. Thank you so much! I’ll think of your good opinion of my humble little blog on bad days when I’m just not sure blogging is accomplishing anything.

@Small Footprints: 😀 you say the sweetest things!
@Nazima: Oh bless you; what a lovely thing to say – thank you! You spend time with that beautiful baby of yours, not browsing my blog 😉
@Jennifer: Ahhh, you look so radiant when you blush 😉

omg, OMG! My Eco-Crap has won an award, it’s first. I must correct a little matter first, the ass you have to follow on my blog isn’t mine, which doesn’t detract from the fact it is a very cute derreire. Clocking on 60, I didn’t think it appropriate to show my own off to the world; you should all be thankful for small considerations.

Now, I will have to see what sins I have commited in order to be so honoured, and then check out the penance I must pay in order to accept.

But thank you mrs green. I didn’t know about it until someone mentioned it in a comment to me this morning.
