Three green stories

Browse main article categories

weddingIt’s time to share the link love!

My three stories, carefully chosen on a Sunday, reflect some of the themes of our site such as energy conservation, green technology, natural health or spiritual development.

So have a browse and let me know what you think!

Green non stick cookware

I’ve been doing a major declutter here at Chez Green.

I’ve repurposed some old teflon coated cookware and have been tearing my hair out trying to decide what to replace it with.

Over on Re-Nest this week, they have been discussing the very topic. Have a read of  “Choosing Green Non-Stick Cookware”  and let me know what you think.

Environmentally friendly toys

Cheap plastic toys made in China are the bane of my life.

We all fall for them because they are ‘cheap’ yet the true cost to the environment and the health of our children is massive.

Over the next 12 to 18 months, EcoLogo in consultation with toy manufacturer‘s and retailers, will be developing some environmental standards for toys. This means you’ll soon be able to see at a glance how environmentally friendly a toy is!

Eco friendly wedding gifts

Last week I covered a story about ‘green’ gifts for a non-green host.

Over on her Simple Savvy blog this week, Christine shares her ideas for giving a Wedding gift with an eco conscience to a couple without!

she says “If you can’t bring yourself to contribute to the Story of Stuff, here are some thoughtful suggestions that you won’t hate yourself for giving, and the couple-to-be will be thrilled to receive”.

Have a read through her “Top 10 Eco Gifts for Non-eco Newlyweds” and share some of your own ideas.

Thanks for linking to me! I’ll be sure to check out your post about green gifts for a non-green host; I hate showing up empty-handed.

@SavvyChristine: Hi Christine; you are welcome. Your post was great and I hope you gained some inspiration from the green gifts for a non-green host post.
