Rain Tees – eco friendly clothing supporting the rainforests

raintees-organic-fairtrade-clothingThis week I’ve been fortunate enough to be speaking to the lovely Beth Doane; founder of Rain Tees.

It really warms my heart and is an honour to be able to connect with some of the amazing people in the world. People doing extraordinary things to make the world a better place.

Beth designed the organic apparel Rain Tees brand in the USA and she’s just atarting to launch it in the UK.

Eco friendly

With a range for women and kids and dubbed one of the hottest new eco lines in the USA, the designs on every Rain Tee have been created by donating school supplies to children living in endangered tropical rain forests and asking them to draw what they see.[amazon-product align=”right” small=”1″]1906155097[/amazon-product]
Rain Tees is the first and only eco friendly affordable luxury brand to save endangered rain forests through the voices of the children living in them.

For every piece sold a tree is given to the children to plant to replace one that has been destroyed in their homelands.

Planting trees

Beth’s goal is to plant a half million trees in the Amazon with the help of celebrities, activists, politicians and every day eco warriors and fabulous fashionistas.

[amazon-product small=”1″]0006530400[/amazon-product]The simple truth is that if we lose our trees that provide oxygen, clean the air and help to send rain clouds to much of the world’s farmland, we will also lose one of the most diverse concentrations of species imperitive to all of our survival.

Fair trade fashion

Each of Rain Tees garments is made by hand from fair trade 100% certified organic cotton and is printed using 100% eco friendly inks and dyes.

Rain Tees mission is to remind consumers that every purchase we make impacts our planet. Beth wants to give consumers a fresh way to combat the negative affects of climate change, rain forest deforestation and pollution while creating “green jobs,” and supporting environmental education, fair trade, and eco-friendly production all with one purchase.

We are all connected

Beth believes we are all connected through this diverse ecosystem and I couldn’t agree more. Her range of clothing is beautiful – both in style and the energy and love behind them so why not bookmark her site for the next time you plan to buy a new t-shirt?

What about you – are there any other great people doing great things that we need to know about?
